Getting Started with n8n

This guide will help you get started with n8n, from initial access through creating your first workflows.

Accessing the Platform

Step 1: Access via Trimble Okta

n8n is currently available in staging environment for all Trimble internal teams for prototyping and development purposes.

Access Process

Navigate to Trimble Okta at Trimble Okta. Search for n8n using the search function to find the N8N — Stage automation platform.

Launch Application by clicking to launch the app directly from Okta. Access Staging Environment where you’ll be redirected to the staging platform at http://flows.stage.trimble-ai.com/.

Step 2: First Login

Once you launch the app from Okta, automatic authentication logs you in using your Trimble SSO credentials. Platform access provides direct access to the n8n staging environment. Complete your profile by setting up your profile and notification preferences. Take the tour to complete the platform orientation walkthrough.

Step 3: Getting Support

After gaining access, join the Agentic AI Platform - Community on Google Chat for collaboration and sharing. You can also use Charlie for on-demand assistance.

Important: Support is community-driven with no official SLA. The Agentic AI Platform team has limited resources, so responses are provided on a best-effort basis through community collaboration.

Team Collaboration Setup

For team collaboration, n8n has the concept of a project Collaboration features include multi-user projects that enable shared workflows, credentials, and execution monitoring. For n8n project creation, raise a ticket using the provided link. Include team member details and required permissions in your ticket.
