Getting Started with File Service

The File Service API is available through Trimble Cloud Console. The following steps are a short set of prerequisites to using the API.

Prerequisites

Use the following getting started guides to create an application, subscribe to an API, and generate an access token:

1. Create an application in Trimble Cloud Console.

2. Subscribe to the File Service API.

   Environment	API Product	Proxy Name
   Production	File Service	File_Service_API_{Region}_V2-2.0
   Staging	File Service	File_Service_API_{Region}_V2-2.0

   Where {Region} is the API Gateway region you choose to use.

3. Generate an access token.

4. Begin calling the File Service API using your access token in the header of your API calls.

Regions

File Service is available in several regions. Each region is fully isolated from the others with both metadata and binary content only available in the region in which they were created. Resources created in one region are not accessible from any other region.

Each region has its own proxy in the File Service product in Cloud Console. See Region list for more information.
