Groups
A group is a set of identities (User, Device, Application) that provides the ability to manage identities as a collection instead of managing them individually. This approach makes administration easier and more efficient.
Groups Creation and Management
Groups are created within the scope of an Account. Specific permissions within an Account are required for any identity to create, modify, or delete groups. Each group has the following attributes:
- Group ID: A unique ID to distinguish the group from others.
- Name: A descriptive name for easy identification. This name is unique within an account.
- Description: A brief explanation of the group’s purpose or scope.
Identity and Group Association
Identities can be added to or removed from groups, and they can be listed. Any identity with a valid relationship with an Account should be able to view the members of the group. Groups can be filtered by the “name” attribute.
