Invitation Service overview

The Invitation Service is a way for an application, product, or service to add an end-user that does not exist. There is no “Create User” API for Trimble Identity, so end-users must be invited to create a Trimble Identity (TID) account.

Once a Trimble Identity account is created, the end-user can be directly added to a product or application. Trimble Invitation Service can be used to invite existing users to products, applications, and services.

This offers multiple benefits:

• A consistent end-user experience joining Trimble products

• Clients will only need to manage one “new user” flow

• Minimal client-side state management

• Event-driven process

• Uses existing new email service templates
