API Cloud v2.0 has the following enhancements and features.
Console Interface
New intuitive user interface (UI) for managing your Trimble Cloud Platform services, starting with API Management and Application Management.
The console is hosted in two environments to manage Pre-production & Production entities.
[Pre-production Cloud Console] (https://console.stage.api.trimblecloud.com) - will leverage Trimble Identity’s staging environment for users and applications.
[Production Cloud Console] (https://console.trimble.com) - will leverage Trimble Identity’s production environment for users and applications.

API Cloud v2.0 is built on top of best-in-class technology to provide a high-integrity, high-reliability API Management experience. The following is supported:

- Distributed Regional Support: EU Ireland & Global Regions

Management Controls
Managing APIs has never been easier. Leverage our robust set of management controls to get your APIs off the ground, protect and maintain a quality experience for users, and gain visibility into performance with the following capabilities:
- Manage/Deploy API Proxies in multiple environments, within a single pane of glass.
- Package API Proxies as API Products to target specific API consumer markets and increase accessibility/interoperability within Trimble for internal integration use cases.
- Restrict API traffic by enforcing throttling and rate limiting to protect your backend and protect other users of your API from unexpected or malicious behavior. (DEPRECATED)
- Share APIs with external team members.
- Track API usage and performance. (DEPRECATED)

User Management
Resources such as API Products, API Proxies, Applications, and Users in the Trimble Cloud Console will be associated to groups/teams within Trimble, belonging to different segments.
Teams
Teams will allow users to collaborate in creating, managing, and publishing APIs within a workspace.
Trimble users are assigned to an Account, allowing them to view the list of teams associated with it. They can request to join any existing team, and upon approval by the respective Team Admin, they can become part of the team and begin collaborating.
