Malware scanning
Upon upload to File Service, files are automatically scanned. File service uses BitDefender to scan files for malware. Please note that the scanning process may take some time, depending on the size of the file. Since it is a background process, users can continue to work on other tasks while the file is being scanned.
To get the status of the scan, use either get upload status or get file details. The response will include the scan status.
Infected Files
If a file has malware, it will be marked as INFECTED and the user will not be able to download the file. The SecOps team will be notified about the infected file.
It’s important to highlight that copying an infected file will result in failure.
Additionally, if a folder undergoing a copy process includes an infected file, this will cause the entire copy process to fail.
