Supported browsers

The following browsers are tested with Trimble Identity:

• Google Chrome (latest version + previous two versions)
• Apple Safari (latest version + previous two versions)
• Mozilla Firefox (latest version + previous two versions)
• Microsoft Edge (latest version + previous two versions)

Trimble will not update any SDKs for Trimble Identity to be compatible with older versions of the .NET framework that are available on unsupported versions of Windows.

To protect users from ‘man-in-the-middle’ attacks or other security threats, Trimble Identity may block sign-ins from embedded browsers. Since embedded browsers make it difficult for Trimble to differentiate between a legitimate sign-in and a man-in-the-middle attack.

Trimble recommends users utilize a modern browser that receives automated updates such as Google Chrome or Firefox. Older browsers, such as any version of Internet Explorer, are not supported and users may encounter issues.

Why does Trimble Identity support these browsers only?

Analytics of Trimble Identity identified the listed browsers as being the most widely used by our consumers. Browsers not listed do not have the usage data to continue or invest in supporting these less-used browsers.

Will I have trouble accessing Trimble Identity on older versions of the supported browsers?

Yes. Your browser version may not be compatible with the latest version of Trimble Identity. Trimble Identity is tested and verified in the versions mentioned in the Supported Browser section only. Upgrade your browser to the latest version or the previous two stable versions from the current one.

What should be done if a customer calls customer support asking for help with an outdated browser?

Trimble support will not troubleshoot any issues encountered using older browsers, such as Internet Explorer 11. The customer should be referred to the “What browsers work best with Trimble Identity” and “What browsers work best for MyTrimble account” articles.
