At its core, the EMS SDK is built on a Rust-powered engine, delivering performance and reliability, while being exported to a .NET SDK for seamless integration into familiar developer ecosystems.
🌐 What is EMS SDK?
The Entitlement Management Service (EMS) SDK is a core service that bridges Trimble’s applications with a unified, secure licensing platform.
By integrating with Trimble Identity (TID), the EMS SDK ensures that only authorized users can access and manage licensed products and services.
It serves as the system of record for entitlement and licensing operations, supporting critical workflows such as:
- License Provisioning – enabling consistent entitlement delivery
- Checkout & Check-in – managing license usage across devices
- Offline Search – ensuring accessibility even without connectivity

EMS SDK integrates tightly with Trimble Identity (TID), acting as a secure gateway for authentication and authorization.
