Email notification for consumers
The Email notification for lagging integrators is designed to keep consumers informed about the status of their subscriptions, particularly when they are consistently lagging or become inactive. This notification system enables users to make necessary adjustments, such as modifying polling rates.
The Events Service captures the lag percentage and consumer state of a subscription for a span of 7 days.
- Lag percentage: The percentage of messages that are not yet consumed.
- Consumer state: The consumer’s state is categorized as ACTIVE during active polling and transitions to INACTIVE when a consumer hasn’t initiated a poll request in the past 7 days.
Email notifications are triggered based on the sampled data gathered weekly for lagging and inactive consumers.
Email Notification for Lagging Consumers:

An email notification will be sent to the consumer every week when they are consistently lagging.

Email Notification for Inactive Consumers:

If a consumer remains inactive for more than 5 days, email notifications will be sent every week to keep them informed about their status.

The email will be sent regardless of their lag.
