Getting Started with HDFS Driver

The HDFS driver is available as a Maven package in Trimble Artifactory.

Prerequisites

1. An application in Trimble Cloud Console. See Create an application in Trimble Cloud Console.

2. Space in Trimble Cloud File Service. See Create and manage Spaces

3. A Big Data Processing and Analytics services with Hadoop ecosystem (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) installed and configured.

   Examples,

   a. AWS EMR (see AWS EMR Serverless)

   b. Azure Synapse Cluster (see Azure Synapse Analytics)

Regions

File Service is available in several regions. See Region list for more information. The HDFS driver has been tested only in the AWS US East (N. Virginia) region in STAGE environment.
