Devices

A device in IoT should belong to a group which has a serial number and a certificate attached to it. The device serial number must be unique within the group they reside in. Also we recommend each device to have its own device certificate. A device can be activated in IoT only when it is already registered in Profiles or IAM.

An AWS device can:

Manage device twins
Receive and respond direct messages
