Quickstart

The Quickstart section guides you through the following capabilities:

Device Provisioning

• Devices can be provisioned in AWS/Azure and provided a certificate, which serves as a means of authentication for Trimble IoT and other Trimble services which utilize TID

Device-Application Communication

• Devices can send messages which can be received by applications through various delivery endpoints
• Devices can receive messages sent by applications
• Applications can receive device events such as connection, subscription, lifecycle, state, errors, certificate expiry notification
• Applications can use a virtual representation of devices to request a desired state and devices can report back their current state
• Applications can send OTA update jobs for devices
• Applications can invoke direct methods on devices for immediate action
