Send Inbound Messages

Prerequisites

1. Device Provisioning and certificate generation is completed

Steps

1. Connect device to IoT and send message to inbound topic in AWS/Azure.

Note

• Refer to Inbound Messages for more details on the allowed topic formats. As an alternative to group-wide open policy, devices can also be restricted to send messages to specific topics using the Device Custom Policy (AWS only)
• Refer to the list of AWS/Azure events that can be consumed by applications

Consume Inbound Message

1. Consume device messages from

   • AWS SQS
   • AWS Topics
   • Azure Event Hub
   • Data Ocean

2. Historical Device messages can also be queried using AWS/Azure API
