Device State Management (AWS Shadow/Azure Twin)

Prerequisites

1. Device Provisioning and certificate generation is completed

Steps

1. Application publishes a desired state for the device and device reports back to AWS/Azure

Consume State Messages

State Messages can be consumed in one of the following ways:

1. Applications can monitor the reported state of the device in AWS/Azure

2. Applications can view shadow messages

   • AWS SQS
   • AWS Topics
   • Azure Event Hub

3. Historical state messages can also be queried using AWS/Azure API
