Application sign-in branding and workflow
Trimble Identity will require all desktop and mobile applications to launch a web browser for users to access the product. This page will go over how to create a simple product-branded splash page and branding guidelines for it.
The page should follow the Branding Your Sign-In Page Guidelines.
Sign-in workflow
When styling the application page, the goal is to get users to sign in. This will be done with a Modus Call To Action (CTA) button that says Sign in. Selecting this button will launch the Sign in workflow starting page to the user’s browser.

- Application opens and presents a product-branded splash page to the user. This screen includes the Modus-button element that will launch the browser launch sequence.
- In the browser, users sign up or in with their Identity credentials.
- Once sign-in is completed, the browser redirects users to their application. If the browser doesn’t redirect the user directly to the application, a Javascript prompt may be needed to inform users they can now close their browser.
Launching a browser from your application
The sign-in page from an application will allow users to access an application by clicking the Sign in button from the application landing page. From the browser, users will enter their credentials or sign up for access.
Once the user is signed in, they should be returned to the application, and the browser should close programmatically if possible. When returning to the product, the user should be prompted with any additional steps related to their product, such as templates, tutorials, tools, FAQs, etc.

Additional design considerations
Some application windows incorporate brand-approved background textures, illustrations, or marketing content. A simplified sign in page screen can be paired with a solid color background or brand-approved background texture. Branding images are appropriate for use with the Sign in CTA workflow as long as the pairing is accessible and enhances user experience. When choosing colors for your illustrations, consider their association with your particular product or the unified Trimble branding ecosystem.
