Sign in with Apple

The Sign in with Apple feature allows users to login to Identity with Apple ID. This is enabled for Trimble Identity v4 by default along with any other federated social Identity Trimble supports.

This feature will help integrators who have their applications published in Apple App store (users with Apple ID).

To log on to Identity with the Apple ID:

  1. Select the Sign In with Apple button on the sign in page. The Apple Sign in screen is displayed.

  2. User selects the Apple ID to sign in to Identity.

    If users have two-factor authentication enabled, they must confirm this sign in from another device. End-users will also need to enter the two-factor auth code.

  3. A confirmation screen will prompt users to either continue or cancel the sign in process. In this screen, Apple provides with users an option to “Hide your email” if they want to protect their privacy.

Applications will not be able to send email notifications to a user who has elected to hide their email unless they have set up Apple’s Private Email Relay Service. For more information, read How to Set Up Private Email Relay.
