Test accounts creation process
Manually create an individual test user account for Trimble Employees
Section titled “Manually create an individual test user account for Trimble Employees”Trimble team members that require only a single account at a time for the purpose of testing can manually create a test account in Trimble Identity with an alias to their Trimble email address.
The following will create a test account as a Native TID user, meaning this account will not be part of the Trimble Okta federation (SSO integration). This matches the user experience Trimble customers that at not federated will see.
- Go to the Trimble Identity sign in page and select Create a Trimble ID.
You can use https://myprofile.trimble.com to get to the TID sign in page.
-
Select a region and Next.
-
Enter first name, last name, and email details. The email must be in the form of trimble_email_prefix+1@trimble.com.test-google-a.com. For example if your Trimble email address is first_last@trimble.com then the email for the test would be first_last+1@trimble.com.test-google-a.com.
-
Select Send Code.
-
An email will be sent to Trimble email address.
-
Enter the verification code sent to the email by entering the code and selecting Submit. The Resend Code option is available if a user has not received their email.
-
Enter Password and submit. And select or skip passkey as per your preference.
-
Now users should select their country of residence, time zone, and language preferences. Select Next.
-
Optionally add multi-factor authentication (MFA) to your account.
-
Users will receive a success message and be redirected to the application.
