Concepts

The following concepts are used by Entitlement v3.

ConceptDetails
ActivationActivations are the current state of the product for the assigned user. For subscription products, the activations are based on if the line item is current and assigned to an end user. Activation states: activated, revoked, expired, pending, disabled.
End DateThis is the termination date for the usage of SaaS licenses for all users of an entitlement. This is often associated with the renewal date of a product. Determined on the line item level.
EntitlementArtifact of a purchase that defines how long a product is owned and who owns it.
FeaturesFeatures are a single monetizable functionality that provides value to a customer. Features can be used across many products.
Line itemRepresents a single line in a purchase. This applies to all line items in an entitlement as well as all lifecycle states for an item such as complete, disabled, and expired.
MemberThe universally unique identifier (UUID) of the User/Device.
Primary Account HolderLicense purchaser or administrator of the account. They can assign and revoke access for end-users.
ProductA set of features bundled into a single product; it can consist of multiple features.
Stock-Keeping Unit (SKU)Ecommerce item associated with a Product, controlled by Marketing/Product Management for sales purposes.
Transaction Request Number (TRN)A TRN is a unique transaction reference number generated when the license is activated, and the end-user is then mapped to a TRN.
